French Innovation: Air France Collaborates with Expliseat for Embraer 190 Cabin Renewal
Air France is set to upgrade its Embraer 190 fleet with brand new travel cabins, continuing its commitment to enhancing products and services for short and medium-haul flights.
Partnering with Expliseat, a French manufacturer renowned for innovative carbon fiber and titanium seats, Air France aims to provide lightweight, sustainable, and comfortable seating solutions. These seats, tailored to Air France’s specifications, will be produced and assembled in Angers, France, while the cabin decor will be revamped in the airline’s signature colors.
The refurbishment process will commence after summer at the HOP! maintenance facility in Clermont-Ferrand, with the first revamped aircraft expected to debut in autumn 2024.
These new-generation seats will mirror the comfort standards found on Air France’s Airbus A220 fleet and will be showcased exclusively at the Aircraft Interiors Expo in Hamburg from May 28 to 30, where aviation professionals convene to explore cabin interior innovations.
