The trip will start from Amsterdam with KLM to Seoul, South Korea. From there the trip will continue via Korean Air to Sydney, Australia. The next two segments include Delta Air Lines’ flights to Los Angeles, California and then to Minneapolis, Minnesota before a jointly operated flight with Delta and KLM arrives back in Amsterdam at 06:40 on 31 October 2010.
The trip will demonstrate how Sky Team makes it easy and enjoyable for anyone to go around the world with the SkyTeam Round the World Pass.
The idea was generated by Dr Kostas Iatrou, Managing Director of Air Transport News, who will also be conducting the trip. Dr Iatrou, a frequent traveler and holder of SkyTeam Elite Status, has travelled to 80 countries around the world.
Throughout the trip he will be providing comments on his experience regarding the different first/business class products and services, including check-in, lounges, onboard welcome, inflight entertainment, meals, crew, punctuality and the transfer process. Dr. Iatrous’s comments will appear in Air Transport News, on LinkedIn, Twitter and Facebook.
SkyTeam, as part of its commitment to social responsibility, will compensate for the CO2 emissions of this tour. To offset the emissions of this journey SkyTeam purchased a GreenSeat certificate to support renewable energy and forestry projects around the world*.
