Hampton Aviation Soups Up King Air with new A/C, eABS

Hampton Aviation is displaying its Beechcraft King Air 200GT upgraded with Model 250-like performance at the NBAA 2017 static display (SD37) this week at Las Vegas Henderson Airport.

The aircraft on display has been fitted with Raisbeck Epic and BLR winglet upgrades, as well as a newly added CCA air conditioning system and Advent Aircraft Systems eABS anti-skid braking system.

According to Hampton, the CCA system pre-cools the cabin and cockpit using a 220V extension cord or ground power unit (GPU). “This electric brushless compressor air conditioning system replaces the under-performing engine-driven air conditioning,” said the company. “Gone are the days of boarding a heat-soaked aircraft and waiting for the old engine-driven system to somewhat cool the interior. Just plug in and pre-cool, hop in, start the engines and go,” the company noted.

The Advent eABS brakes provide “reliable, effective braking in a lightweight, low-cost, easy-to-install FAA certified system…without the need for power-boosted brakes or bulky and heavy hydraulic accumulators, and does not require modification to the existing landing gear or master cylinders,” said Hampton.

Hampton is an approved dealer for Raisbeck, Blackhawk, CCA, Advent, StandardAero, CenTex and Frakes Exhausts. Also, since 2003 it has provided inspections and repairs for U.S. Army, Air Force and Navy King Airs, including heavy structural repairs at its Mena, Arkansas headquarters.
