Alaska Airlines provides Wi-Fi on most of its North American flights. Like Delta Airlines, American Airlines, Virgin America, and British Airways (among more than a dozen additional carriers), Alaska Airlines uses Gogo Inflight Internet for this paid service. Alaska Airlines, as of January 2017, also offers free inflight messaging.
Wi-Fi Coverage
Alaska Airlines’ Boeing 737 and Embraer 175 jets are equipped for inflight Wi-Fi. Its 737-400C aircrafts — half-passenger, half-freighter planes used primarily for flights within Alaska — are the only exception. Alaska Airlines’ Wi-Fi coverage extends to most intercontinental flights, but not on flights to Mexico, Hawaii, or Costa Rica.
