ITA Airways, the Italian national carrier, and All Nippon Airways (ANA), the largest Japanese carrier, have signed a codeshare agreement to connect their flight networks. Flights between Italy and Japan are now available for sale through both airlines’ websites, reservation systems, and travel agencies.
The partnership allows for enhanced connectivity through Rome Fiumicino and Tokyo Haneda hubs. Effective January 24, travelers can use a single ticket for seamless check-in and luggage transfer between the two airlines.
ITA Airways will add its code to 5 Japanese destinations, while ANA will code-share on ITA Airways’ flights between Tokyo and Rome and five Italian destinations. The collaboration aims to strengthen economic ties between Italy and Japan, providing travel opportunities for tourists and ensuring safety standards.
This marks ITA Airways’ 34th codeshare agreement in just over two years since its establishment.
