Korean Air is ushering in the Year of the Blue Dragon by showcasing traditional Korean good luck decorations, known as Bokjori, at various company locations from February 2 to 15. Bokjori, a woven bamboo strainer traditionally used for washing rice, symbolizes good fortune in Korean culture.
Since 2008, Korean Air has exhibited Bokjoris during Lunar New Year, aiming to extend wishes of good health and blessings to its customers while preserving this cultural tradition. Crafted by designated Bokjori artisan Park Sung-soo from Gume Village, Anseong, the decorations will be showcased at Incheon Airport, headquarters, downtown offices, and check-in counters.
As part of its commitment to promoting Korean culture, Korean Air has previously offered language guidance services at renowned museums and introduced Korean-style vegan inflight meals, along with expanding its inflight entertainment featuring Korean dramas, TV programs, and K-pop.
